A free and accessible kick-off event of the Summit

Join us for an engaging discussion on postpartum care following the recent findings from the Postpartum Experience Survey on Friday Nov. 8th at 12 CET!

Your voice is vital in shaping the conversation about postpartum experiences and advocating for necessary change. We look forward to your participation in this crucial dialogue aimed at enhancing the well-being of mothers across Europe.

Our survey of 815 mothers from 29 European countries revealed significant disparities in postpartum support, highlighting urgent needs for improved awareness and resources. We will explore key themes, including the physiological and emotional challenges new mothers face, the barriers to effective breastfeeding, and the dynamics of maternity leave and returning to work.

The Survey is an essential step of our work for the Postnatal rEvolution Summit which starts on November 26th with a series of online lectures by Robin Lim, Pam England, Ingrid Bayot, Noémie Faure and Satya Kaur. The Summit culminates with a one-day event in Vugth, the Netherlands on February 1, 2025, where participants can actively engage in the drafting of a Postnatal Action Plan, that will be sent to local and national governments, and international organizations.

This live talk will be in collaboration with EDN, Postnatal Support Network and Geboortenis Foundation.

Anita Budak is one of three CORE organizers of EDN, member of the EDN survey team, a birth doula from Croatia, leader of Croatian doula association and mother of three.

Ekaterina Cupelin is the director of the Postnatal Support Network. She is a mother of two, a full spectrum doula and an anthropologist.

Manon Zuuring is the chairwoman of the Geboortenis Foundation. She is a mother of six, midwife, craniosacral therapist, founder of the Prenatal Touch training and baby massage/yoga teacher. All her life she has been intrigued by new life and the impact of the first 1000 days on a human life.
