It felt like the missing piece...

Dear Reader,

Have you ever felt like society abandons women right after birth? Have you heard testimonies from mothers where postpartum "shattered them into pieces"?

The fourth trimester is often neglected, even though its importance is central. But there is a way to change this narrative. Not just for others, but also for your own journey.

Today, we want to share the stories of two women who were exactly where you are right now. They felt the "call," but they needed the bridge to turn that calling into a career.

"It completed my care and offerings"

Joanna, one of our recent graduates (from 2025) shared how her own difficult postpartum experiences led her to us:

My first postpartum completely shattered me into pieces...
This training put words, structure, and understanding to something I had already felt for a very long time. It ignited a real fire in me. It really felt like a missing piece.
Although the training is online, it’s unlike any other experience. You genuinely feel seen and held. The holistic approach and practical knowledge left me feeling grounded and ready to serve women in their most vulnerable period.

"I wouldn’t have found the confidence without them"

Laura, who joined us in 2023, found that the training was the literal spark for her new life:

It has inspired me to make this my career of choice and to support women through this very important phase in their lives. PSN has given me all the tools and resources to start developing myself in this field and they provided guidance and they still provide guidance if I need it.
If it weren't for them I don't think I would have found the confidence to start as a postpartum doula.

Our next training starts in just 2 days

Dear Reader, Society prepares women for the birth, but it often abandons them right after. While the world focuses on the nursery and the baby clothes, the new mother is often left in a black hole of care. She is expected to be resilient, and to manage it all alone. But at the Postnatal Support Network, we know that the 40 days following childbirth are the most critical for a woman’s lifelong health. The truth is: Mothers need mothering, too. We are looking for compassionate leaders to help...

Dear PSN Community, Behind every new mother is a profound inner transformation — one that reshapes identity, brain, emotions, and sense of self. This transition has a name: matrescence. At the Postnatal Support Network, we believe that naming this passage changes everything. When mothers, doulas, families, and communities understand matrescence, we move from pathologising normal change to honouring one of the most significant developmental transitions of adult life. What Is Matrescence? The...

Postpartum is a season. Care is the light. And no one should have to carry it alone.

A season of light, rest, and being held Dear friends, At this time of year, many cultures mark a quiet turning point. The days are still short, winter is not yet over — and yet, the light is unmistakably returning. February 2, traditionally known as Candlemas, is a moment that has long been associated with warmth, protection, and the gentle promise of renewal. Today, we reclaim it not as a religious observance, but as a symbolic pause — one that speaks directly to the postpartum experience....
